Activities in 2020
1 – Sama Bioconsult Activities
- Création de 2 entités pour plus d’efficacité et d’intégration:
- Sama Bioconsult : bureau de consultant basé en France, spécialisé en ethno – botanique et conseil
- Sama Bioconsult Développement : bureau basé au Burkina Faso, plus spécialisé dans la mise en place des filières végétales et l’expédition des matières premières, enregistré à la chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Bobo Dioulasso.
- Réunion fondatrice de la Fédération Internationale Afrique & Beauté (FIAB) à Paris (France) le Mardi 14 Janvier 2020 : OLIVIER Marc en est le 1er Secrétaire Général.
Cette fédération, dont la création administrative remonte au 16 Décembre 2019, a pour vocation principale de relier les acteurs des métiers de la beauté venant d’Afrique, de France et d’autres régions du monde, mais aussi aura la charge d’organiser le prochain Forum Afrique & Beauté qui se tiendra au Sénégal en Avril 2021 (cf. site FIAB).
2 – Examples of actions carried out in 2020 with the support of Sama Bioconsult’s partners through the Association Nature & Culture Burkina:
- Greentech SA:
- Organic certification of the Baobab production chain (Greentech SA)
- Project to plant useful species (Baobab, Parkia, Moringa) for Baobab chains associations in the Bogandé region, in partnership with the Gnagna Provincial Environment Department.
- LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics Research:
- Financing the guarding, maintenance and protection of the Koro Ecological and Cultural Site
- Funding for research into the biodiversity of the Koro Ecological and Cultural Site
- Official handover ceremony for the bikes and motorcycle cabs financed by LVMH at the end of 2019. In addition, fire-safety training was provided for 4 women and one man who will make up the fire-fighting team, as well as hand-washing equipment, which was planned before the pandemic and which is of course extremely useful.

- Laboratoires Expanscience:
- Organic certification of supply chains
- Repairing a well for a “Cleome” farmer’s family (Expanscience chain)
- Support for “Cleome” grower coaching
- Financing of food and teaching materials for the « Bisongo » nursery school run by the Union des Femmes Artisanes de Gassan (Union of Gassan artisan Craftswomen).
- DHDH – Des Horizons et Des Hommes (Horizons and People):
- Production of a video on the guardian of the Toumousséni Sacred Baobab in June 2020, (video montage by Claude LEFEBVRE): See the video below.
- Donation of 2 indicative panels to help locate the Baobab tree.
