1 – Sama Bioconsult’s activities
- Participation in COSMETIC 360 in Paris from 16 to 17 October 2024: meetings with Sama Bioconsult’s partners, in particular the sales teams (LVMH, Laboratoires Expanscience, SILAB, Greentech SA, Givaudan) and exchanges with potential partners.

- PARTICIPATION in the 8th International Forum on Africa and Beauty (FIAB) in Orléans from 1 to 4 October:
conference by ALLAIN Aude (Parfums Christian Dior), SAWADOGO Elodie (Master in Socio-Economics, University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso) and OLIVIER Marc / Regenerative agriculture and Parfums Christian Dior: the case of Burkina Faso.
- «DIOR COSMETICS CHAINS IN BURKINA FASO» PROJECT, (Activities under the supervision of Sama Bioconsult, financed by Parfums C. Dior, LVMH Research):
- Planting of 1,250 trees in the Koro area, Planting of 1,250 trees in the Koro area, including perimeter planting to demarcate and protect the «Opilia» harvesting area, planting in the Koro Ecological and Cultural Site and around sacred sites, around the hibiscus fields and at the dispensary, in partnership with the Regional Forest Seeds Office (ARSF, Bobo Dioulasso).

- Awareness-raising meetings in neighbouring villages to prevent abusive logging in the Koro area, particularly around the Opilia harvest site, in order to conserve the species and the surrounding biodiversity.
- Donation of 150 trees to 3 nearby villages (Kua, Borodugu, Pala).
- «BAOBAB Chain / GREENTECH SA» PROJECT in Burkina Faso :
(Activities under the supervision of Sama Bioconsult, 1st half of 2024, financed by GREENTECH SA).- Renovation of a building for the Bogandé Women’s Association.

- «GIVAUDAN / ANOGEISSUS / MANGIFERA CHAIN» au Burkina Faso (Juin à Août 2024) :
(Activities under the supervision of Sama Bioconsult, financed by GIVAUDAN)- Socio-economic study of the Givaudan supply chain to the Ben Dia Association (conducted by SAWADOGO Elodie, Masters in Environmental Socio-economics).
- Study of the biodiversity of Anogeissus / Mangifera harvesting sites and impact of harvesting (under the responsibility of Dr. SANOU Lassina, Forester and botanical expert).
- Sama Bioconsult other activities :
- Conferences in April at the «Mohammed I» University in Oujda and the «Semlalia» Faculty of Science in Marrakech on the possibilities for developing Sahelian plants.

- «Dozos hunter’s groves» Project in Kangala (August 2024) in partnership with the Antenne Régionale des Semences Forestières (ARSF, Bobo Dioulasso):
- Planting avenue trees on the site of the Dozos hunters’ camp in the village of Kangala.

- Appui bénévole à SENS SOLIDAIRE, ONG Française sur 2 projets au Kenya en Mai 2024 :
- Aide à la réalisation d’un sentier botanique, après enquêtes ethno-botaniques avec les Rangers de LUMO Community Wildlife Conservancy et les élèves de l’Ecole Steiner (Genève, Suisse) pour la réalisation de pancartes.
- Appui bénévole à SENS SOLIDAIRE, ONG Française sur 2 projets au Kenya en Mai 2024 :

Visite en Août à Tiébélé, au sud du Burkina Faso, avec le Pr. ZERBO Patrice, ethnobotaniste de l’Université J. Ki Zerbo de Ouagadougou (Laboratoire de Botanique et Ecologie Végétale) : rencontre avec M. Wérépè, chasseur traditionnel, détenteur de connaissances sur les plantes qui a participé aux enquêtes ethnobotaniques et M. MISSION Youssouf, guide à Tiébélé, assistant sur le projet.
La visite a été l’occasion de présenter quelques dessins à M. Wérépè et vérifier l’identification botanique de certaines espèces végétales citées dans les contes en langue Kasséna grâce à l’aide du Pr. P. ZERBO.

- Conférence de Dr OLIVIER Marc, en Septembre, dans le cadre de Vacances Culture, organisée à Bobo Dioulasso, sous le parrainage de Mgr Titiama Anselme SANOU sur le thème du « Potentiel des plantes et des connaissances traditionnelles pour le développement d’activités génératrices de revenus au Burkina Faso : importance de la Tradition, de la Transmission des Connaissances et du Respect de l’Environnement ».
